When Sustainability Spells Good Business
This project is an interactive story for Great Britain and Northern Ireland's sponsored article "When Sustainability Spells Good Business" publicized in The New Yorker. Read the original article here
The article focuses on the successes of UK based businesses that have taken the initiative to go green in their business practices. It highlights 3 companies, a distillery, a sustainable housing company, and an automotive company,  that are now using green practices and seeing the benefits in their profits. Their main argument is that consumers are now seeking out products that are sustainable and more environmentally friendly, so companies should be following this trend and taking advantage. As a result, their business practices will be less harmful to the environment, and they will see profits increase.

Challenge
To make this story interactive and visually appealing to readers, I needed to isolate its key points through text analysis. Its main themes are sustainable technology, strengthening of transatlantic commerce, and why sustainability is not only the correct ethical choice in business, but also the smart one.
Proposed Design Solution
Create an interactive story highlighting the three business examples mentioned in the article. Keep a focus on transatlantic ties in the design, as it is sponsored content and the main goal is to promote business relations. Use

Main Takeaways and Future Goals
While creating this project, I ran into some issues with creating components for some of my interactive elements. Specifically, the pins in my interactive story. Ideally they would show small square images when hovering over the pins, but for some reason that I cannot seem to figure out, the image only shows within the frame of the pin. With more time, I would get to the bottom of this. This project was my first experience with Figma, and it taught me a lot about the programs interface and capabilities.
